Humanist Officiants in Ontario are licensed by the Province of Ontario and accredited by the Humanist Association of Canada to conduct non-religious marriages and other secular ceremonies, such as funerals, memorials and child namings. They have the same rights and responsibilities as ordained clergy under the Marriage Act of Ontario
They are required to be members of the Humanist Association of Canada, provide references, and pass a course developed and offered by the Ceremonies Committee.
Collectively, our officiants have performed thousands of ceremonies.
Officiants are must adhere to a Code of Ethical Conduct.
